N. Natomas Library Branch Turns 3

The Sacramento Public Library will celebrate the third anniversary of its North Natomas branch 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5.

The carnival-themed party will feature free, family activities such as carnival games, prizes, face painting and balloon animals. SactoMoFo will provide food trucks for refreshments. The anniversary event is sponsored by the Friends of the North Natomas Library.

The North Natomas Library is a joint-use facility serving the community as well as the students and faculty of Inderkum High School and the Natomas Center of American River College.

“Our branch has a dynamic teen space and children’s area designed to engage young readers,” said Suzy Murray, branch supervisor. “We offer 120 Internet and word-processing computer stations and four early-learning computers for young children.”

The library also features a Friends bookstore run by the Friends of the North Natomas Library, which raises funds for events, programs, supplies, and materials. North Natomas Library employees regularly present a wide variety of free programs in its community room for all ages.

The North Natomas Library branch is located at at 4660 Via Ingoglia, Sacramento.
