NATOMAS BUZZ reader Michelle Hewitt spotted these rare Burrowing Owls in an undeveloped area of North Natomas near H. Allen Hight Elementary School. She posted this photo on our Facebook page asking who to notify of the endangered raptors.
John Roberts, the executive director at the Natomas Conservancy Basin, said the pair could be migrating but shared contacts with the state Department of Fish and Game and the UC Davis California Raptor Center.
