Bike Doc Makes The Rounds

THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz

The North Natomas Transportation Management Association will roll out its bike-repair-shop-on-wheels again for a fix-it fair next month.

The Bike Doc is used at community, school, and business events to perform diagnosis, basic bike maintenance, and repair for community members. It will be on call 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 16 at the North Natomas library branch, 4660 Via Ingoglia.

Repairs and tune-ups will be free on a first-come, first-served basis at the event. Service is limited to one bicycle per person; bikes can also be registered with the Sacramento Police Department.
The North Natomas TMA received the bike from a manufacturer in Portland in September 2010. Since then, it has serviced nearly 600 bikes at different events and has been featured in the American Bicyclist, Bicycle Times and Sacramento Magazine.
For more information, contact the North Natomas online or by calling (916) 419-9955.
