Natomas Cares: Two Preschools Collect For Homeless

The TenderCare and Creative Kids preschools have started “Operation Santa’s Little Helpers Helping the Homeless” in Natomas.
“During these hard times we are seeing more and more homeless here in Natomas and the Sacramento area, and as a community we can all pull together to make a difference,” say program directors Ms. Michelle and Ms. Dina.
The schools’ goal is to collect items and fill backpacks with the following to help let area homeless know someone cares about them. The backpacks will be delivered to Gateway Oaks Park here in Natomas and, if needed, to Loaves and Fishes – not far from the Natomas neighborhood.

Items needed include: Tooth Brushes, Tooth Paste, Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap Sanitizer, Women Products, Men’s Deodorant, Women’s Deodorant, Brushes/Combs, Kleenex, Chapstick, Band-aids, Lotion, Wipes, Socks, Scarves, Beanies/Hats, Gloves, Rain Ponchos, Flashlights

Ways you can help:
  • HOST a Backpack and fill it with needed items! (COST about $12.00 to $15.00)
  • DONATE any of the Items above in our Box, all items HELP to fill backpacks.
  • HELP deliver Backpacks on Saturday December 18th to the Homeless.
“This a GREAT lesson for our children the GIFT of GIVING to those less fortunate than us, take your child to the store with you to pick out items for your backpack,” say Ms. Michelle and Ms. Dina. “What an AWESOME Lesson for all of us, the GIFT of GIVING, and we can make a DIFFERENCE here in Natomas!
