Vehicle Hits, Kills Pedestrian In North Natomas

At 7:05 a.m. today a vehicle hit an elderly woman as she crossed North Park Drive at Banfield Drive.
Sac PD officers on the scene told the Natomas Buzz the woman’s injuries were serious. Officers were seeking witnesses to the accident as they cordoned off the busy intersection.
Three years ago, a 9-year-old boy was hit by a car in the same location. Since that accident the city has added marked crosswalks and pedestrian crossing signs.

Comments

  1. Hope she is ok…

  2. Sad to hear. Two things need to change.

Every day I see driver that normally commute along that route blow through the 3 way stop at North Park and Fredricksburgh about 200 yards from this location. Police should camp out for a week and nail them to the wall for it.

Cross walk ‘lights’ are needed at the intersection where these tragic accidents have occured. The city needs to get it done. There is no stop sign, and in the morning/evenings during spring and fall the Sun is lined up along the road making it difficult for drivers to see.

  3. She died.
