For A Good Cause: Volunteer At Evergreen & R4

GreenHouse Community Center seeks individuals to volunteer as a Study Buddy for Evergreen an after-school program. Study Buddies are paired with a small group of students to help them with homework and build a mentoring relationship with them. Study Buddies are asked to commit two hours per week for at least six months. 
Evergreen (which is first through sixth grade) is 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from. Fun Friday Leaders are needed for Evergreen 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. to help students with recreational activities such as art, sports, sewing. Workshops leaders who can teach the students a skill are also needed. Fun Friday Leaders commit two hours per week for at least six months. 
REQUIREMENTS: 16 years old or older and mandatory training.
Study Buddies are also being sought for GreenHouse’s R4 teen after-school program. The GreenHouse is always looking for Guest Speakers who would like to share their special talents with our students. Previous workshops have included: music, art, sports, launching bottle rockets, and information about college and careers. We welcome new and all ideas and experiences.  
R4 (which is seventh through 12th grade) is 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and varying times on Saturdays for field trips; volunteer drivers are needed Saturdays.  
REQUIREMENTS: 18 years old or older and mandatory training.
