Be On The Lookout: Gold 4-Door Sedan

The Sac PD helicopter is circling Natomas Park searching for a gold-colored, four-door sedan wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery in front of a home on Fredericksburg.

The Sac PD dispatcher warns residents to remain inside with doors and windows locked. Call 9-1-1 if you spot the vehicle described.

For A Good Cause: Library Book Sale

The South Natomas Affiliate of the Friends of the Sacramento Library will be holding their semi-annual book sale 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.

This community event will feature a large assortment of books in all subject areas and all proceeds will be used to support library programs. Book prices are as follows:

Hardbound books: $1.50 (Many of these are in almost new condition!)
Large paperbacks: $1.00
Small paperbacks: $0.50
Children's books: $0.25
Special Editions as marked.

Friends of the Library will receive an additional discount on all books! The sale will be held at the South Natomas Library located at 2901 Truxel Road.

Catholic Church Opening In North Natomas

Divine Mercy Parish to Celebrate “First Church” Blessing

The first Roman Catholic parish will in North Natomas will open its doors at Divine Mercy’s “First Church” this Saturday.

Bishop Jaime Soto will preside over a special blessing and dedication Mass with assistance from Divine Mercy Pastor, Father Cesar Ageas, and invited clergy from throughout the Sacramento Diocese.

Divine Mercy Catholic Church is the 100th parish in the Sacramento Diocese. It has been active in the Natomas community since 2004 and will continue to serve in its ministry at its permanent home.

Parishioners will also lead guided tours through the “First Church” tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday, throughout those days. Contact Venus Stromberg Bird for information on tour times or any other information.
