All information provided by Sacramento Police Department. The information provided allows for a timely snapshot of significant events in our community. The crimes reported here are preliminary investigations, taken in the field by patrol officers, and may or may not be assigned to a Detective for further investigation. The information provided may be found after further investigation to be incorrect or false. Certain details of these incidents have been removed due to potential follow up investigation into the incident and/or for privacy rights. Click here to read stories about crime in the Natomas region.

February 23 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 22):
12-050104, Burglary, 3000 block of Stanhope Way, 8:13 a.m.,
Officers contacted a subject, Sean Szostak, 19. Officers located stolen property and the suspect was arrested.

12-050424, Shooting, 800 block of San Juan Rd, 12:23 p.m.,
The victim arrived at a south area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the back. Officers responded to the location to find the scene and ultimately arrested Christopher Bostic, 23.

12-050613, Domestic Violence, Northgate Blvd/W El Camino, 4:20 p.m.,
Officers responded to a domestic violence call where the suspect left on a motorcycle. Officers located the motorcycle and pulled behind it. The motorcycle failed to stop and a pursuit up Northgate ensued. The driver failed to negotiate a bend in the road and crashed. The suspect was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. 

February 22 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 21):
12-049371, Burglary, 600 block of Potomac Ave, 12:48 p.m.,
Officers responded on a pending burglary call when the victim called back and reported the suspect was nearby.  Officers conducted follow-up and arrested the suspect for burglary.

February 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 20):
12-048400, Burglary, 3700 block of Clubside Ln, 11:45 a.m.,
The victim's alarm went off and the victim found that the home had been burglarized. No suspect information.

12-048439, Burglary, 5800 block of Bridgecross Dr, 1:05 p.m.,
The victim called police advising that a subject had been ringing the doorbell and was now in her backyard. The victim could see the suspect in the backyard crouching under a window. While on the phone, the victim's home alarm went off.  Upon officer's arrival, they found fresh prior marks on the side garage door. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspects. The suspect was described as a male White 18-30 years old, with a small build, wearing a light grey beanie and sweater.

12-048741, Burglary, 4100 block of Northgate Blvd, 1840,
Loss prevention arrested a female suspect for petty theft. The female refused to give her information and fainted. She was transported to the hospital where she was medically cleared for incarceration and taken to jail. Arrested was Anna Co, 50.


February 19 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 18):
12-046753, Suicide, Maple Grove Way/Elmridge Way, 2:02 p.m.,
Officers and Fire personnel responded for an unresponsive 16-year-old male. He was transported to the hospital but did not survive. It was determined that the male had committed suicide.  

12-046869, Stolen Vehicle, Truxel Rd / Prosper Rd, 4:27 p.m.,
An officer located an occupied stolen vehicle. He continued to follow it until additional units arrived. The suspect, Lanoris Gardner-Myles was taken into custody without incident.


February 18 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 17):
12-045484, Burglary, 100 block of Candela Cir, 11:16 a.m.
12 year old victim called police, advising someone had just broken into her home though a back window.  The victim ran upstairs and hid in her bedroom closet while continuing to stay on the phone with the dispatcher.  Officers responded Code 3.  Upon arrival, the two juvenile suspects attempted to run out of the front of the home, both armed with knives.  Officers took them into custody without further incident.  Both were transported to juvenile hall and arrested for burglary.

12-045999, Attempt Pick Up, 400 block of Alboran Sea Cir, 6:58 p.m.
Officers located and arrested James Walden, 47, for an outstanding felony warrant.

12-045936, Subject Stop, 700 block of Northfield Dr, 6:06 p.m.
Three subjects were contacted and found to be on probation/parole.  Follow-up led GET officers to a nearby home which yielded multiple assault rifles and the arrest of Elvin Cross, 26 years old.

12-044072, DUI Check Point Results, Truxel Rd / Pebblestone Way, 12:12 a.m., 855 vehicles contacted, 54 drivers were screened for driver's license violations and 47 citations were issued. 18 vehicles were towed.  8 drivers were screened for possible impairment and 2 were arrested for DUI.  One vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for felony drug possession.

12-046401, Hit and Run, San Juan Rd / Northgate Blvd, 1:45 a.m.,
Police responded to a felony hit and run involving a vehicle verses pedestrian.  Traffic investigators were called out and are continuing their investigation.


February 17 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 16):
12-044989, Robbery, 3100 block of Northgate Blvd, 9:08 p.m.,
Three male, Black suspects entered the store with guns and demanded money.  Both money and cigarettes were taken.  They were last seen fleeing on foot.

12-044955, Missing Person, 3900 block of Dry Creek Rd, 10:10 p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of a 30 year old, developmentally challenged, missing person.  He is new to the area and was last seen walking out of his home.  He is described as 5'7", 270lbs, last seen at 2pm yesterday wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, plain black t-shirt, and blue jeans.  Officers are continuing to check the area.


February 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 15):
12-044107, Subject Stop, Railroad Dr / Del Paso Blvd, 1:21 a.m.,
Officers contacted, Wally Aginaga, 50, who was found to be in violation of his sex registration requirements and subsequently arrested.


February 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 14):
12-042178, Homicide, 1000 block of Garden Hwy, 6:29 a.m.,
The fire department called for officers after discovering that the fire they were called on had been a body. Homicide investigators were called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

12-042675, Warrant Arrest, 300 block of W El Camino Ave, 4:06 p.m.,
Officers responded to arrest a wanted suspect, Patrick Burkhart, 43. He was taken into custody without incident.

12-042685, Subject Stop, Del Paso Blvd / American River Bike Trl, 4:16 p.m.,
Officers contacted a subject, Brant Bailey, 45.  Officers found him to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.  He was taken into custody without incident.

12-042789, Warrant Arrest, 2700 block of Bridgeford Dr, 6:07 p.m., Officers responded to arrest a wanted subject, Lorenzo Fernandez, 24. He was located and arrested without incident.


February 14 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 13):


12-041943, Hit and Run, Honor Pkwy / Regency Park Cir, 8:13 p.m.,
Officers heard vehicles driving reckless in the area. Possible suspect vehicle descriptions were called in as a dark colored Dodge Charger, a corvette type vehicle and a lowered truck. One witness reported that the Dodge Charger hit a cluster mailbox and a street sign, knocking them over and then fled the scene.



February 13 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 12):


12-041024, Suspicious Vehicle, 2000 block of Railroad Dr, 5:11 p.m.,
Officers observed a vehicle with fogged up windows which appeared to be occupied.  As the officers approached the vehicle, Officer Galliano could see through the partially fogged up glass, a male subject with his pants down. The female driver eventually opened the door and was identified as Azenia Corleone, 42.  The front passenger was identified as Emmitt Rayford, 55. Both were arrested.

12-041075, Disturbance, 2600 block of Gateway Oaks Dr, 6:11 p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of a subject threatening people with a knife. Officers contacted Frederick Wasilewski, 28, who was in possession of a folding razor blade.  Wasilewski advanced toward officers as they called out to him but dropped the blade on command upon realizing it was the police.  The investigation revealed the brandishing was unfounded. However, Wasilewski was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

12-041173, Domestic Violence, 1700 block of San Juan Rd, 8:41 p.m.,
Security was hailed by the victim who stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend.  The 44-year-old suspect is outstanding at this time.



February 12 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 11):
12-040002, Subject Stop, American River Bike Trl / Del Paso Blvd, 5:04 p.m.,
Officers contacted a subject who identified himself as Maxx Hall. Hall eventually admitted that his real name was David Hall, 48.

12-040263, Subject Stop, Del Paso Blvd / Northgate Blvd, 9:51 p.m.,
Officers observed a subject riding a bicycle and attempted to stop him for a violation. The subject abandoned his bicycle and fled on foot. The subject was taken into custody a short distance later along the wooded area. The subject, Sammy Visamoune, 43, was found in possession of methamphetamine.

12-040420, Subject Stop, W El Camino Ave / Truxel Rd, 12 a.m.,
Officers contacted a subject and found him in possession of narcotics and arrested.


February 11 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 10):


12-038733, Stolen Property, 800 block of San Juan Rd, 11:26 a.m.,
Police conducted a probation search based on complaints of high traffic to and from an apartment.  During their search officers located a stolen gun.  Arrested was Erlynn Edwards, 20. 



February 10 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 8):
12-037834, Welfare Check, 4100 block of Windsong St, 2:01 p.m.,
Police received a call regarding two young children being left unattended.  Police arrived and located the 2 and 3 year old children. Officers eventually located their mother, Linh Hoang, 46. She was arrested for child endangerment.


February 9 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 8):
12-036548, Deceased Child, 1500 block of Alicia Way, 10:18 a.m.,
Officers responded to 911 call regarding an unresponsive 2 year old girl. Officers attempted CPR but to no avail.  The child had been very sick with the flu/high temp overnight. The mother checked on the child later only to find her face down, unresponsive. No apparent signs of foul play. A coroner's investigation is pending.

12-037180, Disturbance, 2800 block of Normington Dr, 8:40 p.m., Officers responded to a repeat call for service to an address where the residents had a restraining order against a subject. The subject was contacted in front of the residence and was non-compliant. He refused to remove his hands from his pockets and struggled with officers. Officers deployed the baton and took him into custody. He was found in possession of a concealed weapon.

12-037250, Stolen Vehicle, Winterhaven Ave / Northgate Blvd, 10:09 p.m.,
Officers located a stolen vehicle and stopped it. The investigation revealed that the vehicle had recently been recovered but had not been removed from the system as stolen.

February 7 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 6):
12-035327, Subject Stop, Stonecreek Dr / W El Camino Ave, 1:20 a.m.,
Officers observed a subject James Arts, 21, running in the area and contacted him. Officers found him in possession of a stolen car stereo. They located the victim vehicle in the area, missing the stereo. He also possessed methamphetamine. Arts was arrested.


February 6 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 5):
12-034418, Assault, 2200 block of Northgate Blvd, 11:58 p.m.,
Officers responded to calls reporting a male white suspect attacking another male with a tire iron.  Officers arrived and contacted the victim who had an injury to his left arm requiring medical attention.  Officers checked the area and located the suspect, Garth Gaff, 30, at Garden Hwy and Northgate.  Gaff fled on foot into the brush. The helicopter arrived and quickly located the suspect hiding. Gaff surrendered to officers and was booked for assault.


February 5 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 4):
12-033188, Wanted Subject, 2600 block of River Plaza Dr, 4:01 p.m.
Officers were looking for Winford Gilmer, 31, who was wanted. Located him at the address and arrested him without incident.

12-033444, Wanted Subject, 4500 block of Natomas Central Dr, 8:50 p.m.,
Officers were looking for a wanted subject, but were not able to locate him.


February 4 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 3):
12-032386, Suspicious Circumstance, 2700 block of Del Paso Rd, 5:54 p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of 2-3 male Black adults, wearing masks, attempting to open the locked front doors of a bank.  A witness followed the subjects to a nearby apartment complex.  Officers were unable to locate them at this time.

12-032645, Traffic Collision, Garden Hwy / Truxel Rd, 11:06 p.m.,
Officers were dispatched to a traffic accident involving a possible DUI driver.  The drive collided into another vehicle then veered off toward the levee.  Officers arrested the driver for driving under the influence. 

12-032735, Subject Stop, 2400 block of Northgate Blvd, 1 a.m.,
Officers conducted a subject stop, contacting Gregory Metcalf, 53.  He was found to be in possession of amphetamine and drug paraphernalia.


February 3 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 2):
12-031408, Subject Stop, Harding Ave / American Ave, 7:31 p.m.,
GET officers conducted a bike stop on a subject who was later found to have a no bail warrant.  He was identified as a former gang member.

12-031412, Subject Stop, Northgate Blvd / Jefferson Ave, 7:34 p.m.,
GET officers contacted Francisco Castro, 32, during a bike stop.  He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a validated gang member.

12-031425, Burglary, 4100 block of Northgate Blvd, 7:46 p.m.,
Store security observed a suspect attempting to steal several game consoles.  Officers surrounded the store in anticipation of the theft.  As the suspect exited out of a back door with the merchandise, a short foot pursuit ensued.  Officers soon arrested the 14-year-old burglar.

12-031575, Traffic Stop, W El Camino Ave / Stonecreek Dr, 11:04 p.m.,
Officers conducted a traffic stop, arresting the driver Ignacio Valencia, 20, for a parole violation.

12-031634, Traffic Stop, Del Paso Rd / Blackrock Dr, 12:34 a.m.,
Police contacted Michael Feldsher, 47, on a traffic stop.  He was found to have a felony warrant.  He was taken into custody without incident.

12-031615, Domestic Violence, 2600 block of Truxel Rd, 11:54 p.m.,
Police responded to a domestic violence call.  The suspect was gone prior to their arrival.  Officers later located suspect Nathan Amos 28-years-old, at a different location.  He was arrested for domestic violence, terrorist threats, and a parole violation.

12-031685, Stolen Vehicle, San Juan Rd / Binghamton Dr, 2:33 a.m.,
Police observed a stolen vehicle that was reported the night prior.  Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained the occupants.  Arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle was Sarah Gomez, 42 years old.

February 2 (incidents are from shifts starting Feb. 1):
12-030108, Robbery, 3100 block of Rancho Silva Dr, 3:26 p.m.,
The victim was assaulted and robbed of his personal property. The suspect was described as a male Black 17-18 years old, wearing a black beanie and blue jeans.

12-030115, Robbery, 3400 block of Rancho Rio Way, 3:34 p.m.,
The victim was assaulted and robbed of his personal property. The suspect was described as a male Black 17-18 years old, tall thin, wearing a black hoodie and black pants. All info is similar to the previous robbery.

12-030549, Hit & Run, Terracina Dr / Gateway Park Blvd, 11:48 p.m.,
Units were dispatched to the area on a hit and run accident where a water main was broken in the center median. The driver and vehicle fled the scene but was found abandoned a short distance away.

February 1 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 31):
12-029428, Robbery, Pebblewood/Truxel, 8:02 p.m.,
The victim was walking in the area when she was approached by 2 suspects, both riding BMX style bicycles. One suspect displayed a gun and demanded the victim's property. The victim refused to give up her purse and ran out into the street to flag down a passing vehicle. The suspects fled the scene.  The helicopter assisted in checking the area for suspects with negative results. The suspects were described as 2 male Blacks 18-19 years old, wearing dark hoodies with the hood pulled tightly around their head/face.

12-029434, Welfare Check, 2400 block of Northgate Blvd, 8:26 p.m.,
An officer was hailed in the area by two citizens walking a 2-3 yr old female Asian juvenile that appeared to be upset. The citizens advised that they located the juvenile running northbound on Northgate Blvd with no parents around. Multiple units responded to the area to check local businesses and the neighborhood for the parents.  AIR1 assisted with PA announcements around the area. Almost an hour and a half after initial contact, the parents called PD and all were reunited. The father had taken the child shopping and lost sight of him. When he realized the child was missing and after a short search, he drove home to get family members to assist.  The family was educated on calling the police immediately on these types of incidents.

January 31 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 30):
12-028324, Welfare Check, 3200 block of Northview Dr, 4:58 p.m.,
Officers responded to check the welfare of a female who had called on a cell phone saying that she was being assaulted inside a vehicle driving toward Royal Oaks. The caller provided vehicle information which resulted in officers responding to the location. They located the vehicle described by the caller and as officers approached a male Hispanic fled on foot. He was caught and arrested. He was found to have an outstanding warrant and be in possession of methamphetamine. Arrested was Raymond Lozoya, 32.

January 30 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 29):
12-027541, Assault, 3100 block of Normington Dr, 8:15 p.m.,
The suspect, Jasmine Hasty, 24, was arguing with her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Hasty became violent and grabbed a glass bottle striking both mother and boyfriend on the head causing injuries to both. Hasty was still on scene when officers arrived and was arrested.

12-027705, Theft, Natomas Central Dr / Hovnanian Dr, 12:36 a.m.,
Officers were patrolling when they came upon a truck parked along the curb line in the bike lane with the back door open. As they pulled up behind the vehicle they saw a male closing the passenger door.  The male took off running and the officer pursued him on foot.  The male ran into an open grassy area and tried to conceal himself in the tall grass, but to no avail. He was discovered, once a spotlight was used.  The investigation revealed fresh cut wire in the vehicle and the identity of his accomplice, who was also arrested.

January 29 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 28):
12-026464, Found Property, 2100 block of River Plaza Dr, 4:49 p.m.,
The caller was playing an online treasure hunt game and found a cash register. It was determined that it had been taken last week in a burglary. The register was booked into evidence.

12-026883, Assault, 2900 block of Yarwood Way, 1:52 a.m.,
Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a stabbing. The investigation revealed the home was the location of a medium sized party of family and friends.  Two adult males at the party got into an argument after bumping into each other.  The suspect produced some kind of cutting device and assaulted the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, Andres Torres, 30,  had fled the scene but was later contacted and arrested.

January 28 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 27):
12-025030, Suspicious Circumstances, Mabry & Portage, 10:51 a.m.,
Juvenile victims were walking outside when they advised they were approached by a male White in his 30s driving a white service van. The driver told the two girls to get in. They refused and ran away.  Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the suspect at this time.

12-025061, Assault, 2500 block of New Market Dr, 11:30 a.m.,
Two former students came onto campus and were involved in a fight with current students.  One student fell causing an injury to his head.  Several of the primary subjects involved were identified and cited.

12-025699, Robbery, Azevedo & W. El Camino, 9:20 p.m., Victim was sitting at a park bench when a group of 10-15 male Hispanic juveniles physically assaulted him, taking his money and phone.  The victim sustained minor injuries.

January 27 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 26):
12-024490, Robbery, 2200 block of Northgate Blvd, 7:58 p.m.,
Police responded to a report of an armed robbery.  The suspects were described as two male Black adults wearing bandanas over their faces.

12-024589, Robbery, 1600 block of W El Camino Ave, 9:51 p.m.,
Victim locked up the business and got into her car.  A male Black adult opened her passenger side door wielding a gun.  The suspect attempted to get her to re-open the store but was unsuccessful.  Suspect fled the area.

12-024577, Sexual Assault, 3400 block of Smilax Way, 9:36 p.m.,
Victim advised she was sexually assaulted by a known suspect.  Officers took a report and the investigation is continuing.

12-024453, Robbery, 900 block of El Camino Ave, 7 p.m., Officers responded to a business burglary.  A female and male Black adult entered the open roll up doors of the business and robbed an employee at gun point.  During the robbery the victim was physically assaulted.  The suspects were described as wearing all dark clothing with bandanas covering their faces.

12-024809, Theft, Natomas Blvd / Mabry Dr, 5:19 a.m.,
A jogger saw multiple utility box covers that were open with the copper wire missing.  Offices responded and took a report.  At least 4 street lights were not functioning as a result of the theft.

12-024569, Casualty, 3000 block of Torland St, 9:25 p.m.,
Victim was found in her home by a friend.  Officers located the victim deceased inside the residence.  It appeared to be a suicide.

12-024623, Domestic Violence, South Ave / Mahogany St, 2232,
Officers on-viewed a domestic violence call.  A records check revealed that one party was wanted on a parole hold.  The suspect fled on his bike as officers gave chase and a perimeter was established.  A K9 unit located him hiding in a trash can.  Arrested was Jeremiah Goode, 24 years old.

January 26 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 25):
12-022988, Probation Search, 3200 block of Truxel Rd, 2:05 p.m.,
The Crime Suppression Unit received information that a subject wanted for recent burglaries was staying a known location.  Officer contacted that subject along with his associate.  A handgun and marijuana were located during the search.  Both were taken into custody.

12-023447, Disturbance, 2700 block of Northgate Blvd, 8:33 p.m.,
Officers were called regarding a subject causing a disturbance. Officers located the subject who was found to be on parole and out of compliance.  He was taken into custody without incident.

12-023222, Warrant Arrest, 300 block of W El Camino Ave, 5:04 p.m.,
Officers located and apprehended a subject on a felony warrant.

12-023715, Burglary, 800 block of El Camino Ave, 4:38 a.m.,
Police responded to a window smash burglary.  It is unknown what was stolen at this time.

January 25 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 24):
12-022111, Threats Report, 300 block of Penhow Cir, 4:33 p.m.,
Police were called regarding the victim's soon to be ex-husband making threats to harm her.  A report was filed.

12-022389, Arrest, 3500 block of N Freeway Blvd, 9:51 p.m.,
Police were called to a business regarding a suspect who was wanted for theft.  Officers responded and took him into custody.  He was turned over to an assisting agency for further follow up.

12-022539, Sexual Assault, 3800 block of Aetna Springs Way, 2:21 a.m.,
 Victim advised she was sexually assaulted by two unknown males.  Detectives were advised.  Investigation continuing.

January 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 20):
12-018558, Robbery, 400 block of W El Camino Ave, 6:31 p.m.,
The 2 suspects entered the store and robbed the owner at gunpoint. The suspects were described as male Black adults wearing bandanas over their faces.

January 20 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 19):
12-018071, Burglary, 300 block of W El Camino Ave, 9:02 a.m.,
A male and female suspect broke into the victim's vehicle and located the garage door opener.  The suspects used the opener to enter the victim's garage.  As they were stealing items the victim confronted them.  Both fled as the victim pursued until police arrived.  The male was arrested but the female is still outstanding.  Further investigation is continuing.

12-018558, Robbery, 400 block of W El Camino Ave, 6:31 p.m.,
Two armed suspects entered the store and robbed the store owner money and personal items.  Both were described as male Black adults, wearing bandanas covering their faces.

12-018940, Burglary, 2000 block of Arena Blvd, 4:56 a.m.,
Police received a call of a burglary alarm to a business.  Upon arrival, officers observed one of the front windows had been broken.  Suspect(s) removed a cash register and a safe.

January 19 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 18):
12-016355, Assault, 3500 block of Northgate Blvd, 12:53 p.m.,
Officers returned to the scene of an assault call where the victim had been cut with glass. The suspect was seen in the area and was arrested without incident. Arrested was Ellis Johnson, 25.

12-016595, Suspicious Vehicle, 3300 block of North Park Dr, 4:29 p.m.,
Officers responded to a complaint of a male driving a Black 1980's Toyota Corolla, who was driving up and down the street attempting to get a female juvenile (age 17) into his car by driving alongside. The female began walking with another group of students and the man drove off. The students said they had seen that car cruising the area before. The driver was a male Hispanic adult.

January 18 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 17):
12-015102, Fire, Del Paso Blvd / Railroad Dr, 8:40 a.m.,
Officers and the fire department responded to a camp fire at Del Paso/Railroad. The area had been completely burned out and fortunately, no one was hurt.

12-015379, Robbery, Brewerton Dr/Mendel Way, 1:09 p.m.,
The juvenile victim reported that he was robbed by a male Black teen who confronted him and demanded he empty his pockets. The suspect assaulted him and stole his property.

12-015769, Warrant Arrest, 400 block of Wisconsin Ave, 7:23 p.m., Officers were looking for a wanted subject, Michael Avalos, 40, who was located and arrested without incident.

The 15-year-old female victim stated that she had been sexually assaulted by a known relative.

12-015915, Robbery, Academy Way/Eldridge Rd, 11:36 p.m.,
The victim was walking home when four males, ages 18-21, ran up to the victim, demanding his wallet. They hit the victim at least twice in the head with an aluminum bat and stole his wallet. The victim was hospitalized with an apparent non-life threatening injury to his head.

January 17 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 16):
12-014462, Suspicious Circumstances, 2200 block of American Ave, 12:39 p.m.,
The babysitter called 911 regarding a known subject who just pulled a knife on her and threatened her. Officers contacted the subject who was in a trailer in the driveway. He answered the door with a knife in his hand, but was taken into custody without incident.

12-014695, Stolen Vehicle, Northgate Blvd / Rosin Ct, 5:25 p.m.,
Officers observed a gold colored Chrysler 300 take an abrupt turn upon seeing the officers.  The plate was run which returned as a stolen vehicle.  The driver quickly parked the vehicle in the McDonald's parking lot and tried to walk away when the officers detained him.  Suspect stated the vehicle belonged to a neighbor and he had borrowed it.  The victim responded to the scene and had never seen the suspect before. Arrested was Laird Brown, 52.

January 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 15):
12-013992, Welfare Check, Arden Garden/Northgate Blvd, 7:18 p.m.,
The caller advised that he was concerned for his brother. He had been on the phone with him and the brother told the caller that he had jumped from a train and may have broken his leg. Officers, train personnel and the air unit began searching for the brother. He was located by the helicopter near Hwy 160/Northgate, with injuries. He was transported to the hospital.

January 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 14):
12-012638, Dead Body, Hwy 160 Wb / Northgate Blvd, 12:40 p.m.,
Two male subjects (ages 44 and 38) and a dog were found deceased inside their tent down by the river just east of the Hwy 160 bridge. The cause of death appears to be carbon monoxide poisoning from a camp stove they had inside the tent.

12-005398, Attempt Pick Up, 300 block of Chango Cir, 5:39 p.m.,
Officers from the Crime Suppression Unit located and arrested a subject wanted in a previous theft case.  He was arrested without incident.

12-012201, Stolen Vehicle, Northgate Blvd / Rosin Ct, 9:56 p.m.,
Officers located a stolen vehicle that was wanted in a prior incident.  The driver was arrested without incident.

January 13 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 12):
12-011421, Stolen Vehicle, I 5 Sb / Arena Blvd, 5:23 a.m.,
Officers stopped a stolen vehicle and took the driver into custody without incident.

January 11 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 10):
12-008471, Two Pursuits, WB I 80/NB I 5 Fwy, 12:55 a.m.,
An officer located two stolen vehicles traveling together in the area of Marysville and I-80. The officer followed the vehicles onto the freeway while additional units responded. Both vehicles fled from officers and two simultaneous pursuits ensued. One pursuit terminated on the off ramp of I-5 at Del Paso Road, where the vehicle left the roadway. Both driver and passenger attempted to flee on foot and were taken into custody with assistance from K9. The second vehicle was pursued north on I-99 past the city limits at excessive speeds and was terminated. CHP later re-initiated the pursuit, and took the driver into custody in Roseville after a PIT. They transported the suspect back to Kinney for booking by SPD.

12-009009, Theft, 100 block of Seraspi Ct, 3:26 p.m.,
The victim had met the suspect and invited him back to the victim's home. While there, the suspect brandished a gun and stole the victim's computer. Officers located the suspect a short time later and arrested. Arrested was Warrington Richardsons, 31.

12-009139, Suspicious Circumstances, 2800 block of Bendmill Way, 5:32 p.m.,
Residents called in sounds of a loud explosion and found a small stuffed animal on fire in front. The residents where the fire was found are moving out and had a large pile of trash in front of the house. The stuffed animal was part of the trash. Apparently, unknown suspects had ignited some type of device inside the stuffed animal, which caused the noise and lit a front bush on fire. No one was hurt and the fire was extinguished.

January 10 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 9):
12-008365, Burglary, 3200 block of Truxel, 10:07 p.m.,
Officers were looking to arrest Joseph Seffen, 20, for an outstanding warrant. He was located a short distance away and found in possession of stolen items from a local grocery store. He was arrested for the warrant and for burglary.

January 9 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 8):
12-007134, Robbery, 2800 block of Mendel Way, 3:33 p.m.,
The 15-year-old victim was waiting for a friend when he ran into several male Black juveniles. One suspect asked the victim if he could use his phone. The victim reluctantly agreed but only in speaker mode so that the victim could hold on to the phone. The suspect forcible took the phone from the victim and another suspect threatened the victim. The suspects fled on foot and the victim went home to call the police.

12-007252, Possession of Stolen Property, 2900 block of Azevedo Dr, 6:08 p.m.,
The victim's cell phone was stolen from his vehicle earlier in the day and he completed an online report. He was able to use the GPS tracking on his phone to locate it at a residence. The victim located the residence and called police. Officers responded and the investigation revealed the victim's phone. The 41-year-old suspect was arrested.

January 8 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 7):
12-006349, Traffic Stop, W El Camino Ave / Northgate Blvd, 5:40 p.m., Officers observed a motorcyclist riding recklessly in the area. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was contacted. The investigation led to the location of several narco pills. The driver was arrested.

12-006118, Assault, 1000 block of Garden Hwy, 12:48 p.m., Officers responded to a call of a two subjects in an altercation involving a knife. Officers located and arrested the suspect, Ronald Jones, 44. During the investigation, officers located 3 subjects with outstanding warrants and they were all arrested also.

January 7 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 6):
12-005596, Assault, 3500 block of Truxel Rd, 9:24 p.m.,
Police observed a large fight break out in front of a business.  One teenage was knocked unconscious by an unknown suspect who fled on foot.  Multiple officers responded as another fight erupted in the same parking lot a few businesses away. As one of the responding officers was engaged in a foot pursuit of a fleeing suspect, he was clothes-lined by a cable.  That officer sustained in injury to his left eyebrow requiring stitches.

12-005860, Traffic Stop, I 5 Sb / Arena Blvd, 4:06 a.m.,
Police conducted a traffic stop and contacted two occupants inside.  One of them had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody.

12-005879, Vandalism, 2500 block of Autumn Meadow Ave, 5:06 a.m.,
Police received a call regarding a shooting into a house. When officers arrived they discovered a rock was used.  The shooting was unfounded.  The suspect is known to the victim.

January 6 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 5):
12-004710, Robbery, San Juan Rd/Truxel Rd, 10:29 p.m.,
Victim was at a party when she got into a fight with another female over a male.  Victim and her cousin left the party on foot and were approached by a group of females Blacks.  They took the victim's purses after threatening to assault them.  Police recovered some of their items nearby but the suspects were not located.

January 5 (incidents are from shifts starting Jan. 4):
12-003205, Suspicious Circumstances, 2800 block of Gateway Oaks Dr, 1:58 p.m.,
Officers responded to a call of subjects living in a motel room but not paying their bill. A stolen vehicle outside the motel room was linked to one of the occupants. The investigation revealed a large amount of stolen property. Suspects were selling stolen items on Craigslist. One subject was arrested, others identified and the investigation is ongoing.

January 4 (incidents are from shifts starting January 3):
12-002675, Burglary, 2300 block of Oak Harbour Dr, 10:50 p.m.,
Officers were looking for a wanted 16-year-old suspect. Officers were watching his residence, when he returned. He was taken into custody without incident.

January 1 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 31):
12-000326, Domestic Violence, 1400 block of Mayfield St, 7:25 a.m.,
Officers responded to a domestic violence situation where the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is still outstanding.

12-000967, Attempt Stolen Vehicle, 2400 block of Seamist Dr, 1:57 a.m., The victim walked outside and noticed a suspect inside his Jeep Cherokee.  The victim confronted the suspect who pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. The suspect, described as a male Black adult, fled on foot.  The steering column on the Jeep had been tampered with and misc items were stolen from the inside of the Jeep.

December 31 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 30):
11-369478, Suspicious Circumstances, 1000 block of Garden Hwy, 11:46 p.m., A citizen called in that he had been walking and heard a female scream and feared that she was being sexually assaulted. Several units responded, as well as an air unit. An intoxicated female was found but she indicated she was fine. Nothing else was found.

12-000187, Missing Person, 4800 block of Watseka Way, 2:01 a.m., The resident called to report his wife missing and possibly suicidal.

December 30 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 29):
11-366870, Shooting, 100 block of Saginaw Cir, 11:07 a.m.,
Police responded to numerous reports of sounds of gun fire.  Upon arrival suspects had left and no one was injured.  It was later determined that the shooting was a result of an ongoing dispute between two females who were dating the same male.  Follow up was conducted and the suspects were located and arrested for their involvement in the shooting.  Arrested were Emma Portillo, 33 and Rosa Navarro, 20 years old.

11-367179, Assault, 4700 block Savoie Way, 5:04 p.m.,
A witness called regarding a subject lying in a front yard bleeding.  Upon arrival police located the subject covered in blood and called for an ambulance.  While officers were contacting possible witnesses the subject suddenly got up and hoped a fence into the backyard.  It was determined he was heavily intoxicated.  Another intoxicated subject, who was also in the backyard, refused officers entry to check on the bloodied individual.  Eventually he came out but only after a brief struggle.  It appears both intoxicated subjects were brothers and had gotten into a physical fight prior to officers arrival.

11-367624, Attempt Burglary, 2000 block Club Center Dr, 5:32 a.m.,
Unknown suspect(s) threw a large piece of retaining wall at the front door of the business in attempt to gain entry.  The suspect(s) were unable to breach the door.

11-367116, Weapons Call, 2700 block of Del Paso Rd, 3:48 p.m.,
Police received two separate calls regarding a group of juveniles walking around with one possibly having a concealed handgun.  Officers detained the subjects and located a bb gun concealed on one of the juveniles.  The subject with the gun was cited and taken home.

December 29 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 28):
11-365995, Burglary, 1300 block of Tumbleweed Way, 10:39 a.m., Officers responded to a call where the homeowner reported confronting a suspect at the point of entry into his home. The suspect fled on foot. K9 and motorcycle officers responded to assist. The perimeter was modified and updated as at citizens called in and were contacted directly by officers. With the help of citizens calling in, officers located and detained the suspect. The investigation led to the arrest of the 21-year-old suspect.

11-366408, Traffic Stop, Truxel Rd / San Juan Rd, 6:29 p.m., An officer initiated a traffic stop of a blue Buick with two occupants. The investigation led to the location of stolen property from a residential burglary. The female passenger was arrested for the possession of stolen property.

11-366535, Burlgary, 3500 block of Truxel Rd, 10:03 p.m., The victim had his vehicle broken into and a hunting gun was stolen.

11-366715, Attempt Robbery, W El Camino Ave / Seamist Dr, 4:41v a.m.,
The victim was walking at the intersection and was approached by 3 male Hispanic adults. The suspects tried to rob the victim, but the victim refused and a confrontation ensued.  The victim was hit with something, possibly a bottle, and sustained a significant cut over his left eye.

11-364883, Missing Person, 5200 block of Alderberry Way, 12:54 a.m.,
The caller reported her 57-year-old husband missing. The caller was concerned because he had been depressed lately. Officers were not able to locate the man and he was entered into the system as missing.

11-364214, Wanted Subject , 2000 block of San Juan Rd, 11:39 p.m.,
Officers responded to arrest SirAlfred Jackson, 22. Jackson attempted to flee from officers by jumping from a two-story balcony. K9 was deployed and Jackson was taken into custody.

December 25 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 24):
11-363367, Wanted Subject, Main Ave / Del Paso Rd, 3:36 p.m.,
An outside agency requested that we check a residence for a suspect wanted in their jurisdiction. Officers located and arrested the outstanding suspect.

11-363503, Burglary, 2000 block of W El Camino Ave, 7:16 p.m.,
The victim was at home when she heard someone in her house.  It is believed that upon realizing that someone was home, the suspect fled.  A report was taken.

December 24 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 23):
11-362461, Shooting, 500 block of Harding Ave, 12:58 p.m.,
Police received multiple calls of shots fired in the area.  Upon arrival officers located several shell casings but no victims or suspects.  Witnesses advised a small white sedan and a green colored SUV were seen leaving the area.

11-362919, Shooting, 300 block of Wisconsin Ave, 10:06 p.m.,
Officers called regarding a shooting into a house.  No one inside was injured.  Suspects were gone prior to police arrival.

December 23 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 22):
11-362096, Burglary, 4000 block of E Commerce Way, 12:51 a.m.,
Suspect(s) attempted to remove a glass window panel to gain entry but were not successful.

11-362116, Burglary, 2500 block of W El Camino Ave, 1:23 a.m.,
Suspect(s) removed the front glass panel making entry into the business.  Property from inside was taken.

December 22 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 21):
11-360805, Attempt Robbery, 2200 block of Atrisco Cir, 8:08 p.m.,
The suspect came to the victim's house in response to a craigslist ad posted by the victim. The suspect pulled a gun but when the victim asked the suspect if he was really going to rob him, the suspect took off.

December 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 20):
11-359829, Traffic Stop, Montview Way / Edmonton Dr, 7:16 p.m.,
Officers stopped a vehicle and contacted the juvenile driver. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a juvenile for illegal possession of ammunition.

11-358249, Traffic Stop, Duckhorn Dr / Dragonfly Cir, 4:04 a.m.,
Officers located a stolen vehicle. The driver was ultimately arrested.

11-357014, Suspicious Vehicle, 3800 block of Rosin Ct, 7:04 p.m.,
An officer located a suspicious occupied vehicle. The parties were detained and later found to be in possession of stolen property and methamphetamine. Connie Silvers, 45, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Roderick Juan, 40, was arrested was for possession of stolen property.

11-357035, Robbery, 5100 block of Fredericksburg Way, 7:28 p.m.,
The victim was at the trunk of his car when he was approached by 2 male Black adults. One of the suspects was armed with a gun and demanded money. The victim threw his wallet on the ground. The suspects picked up the wallet and they fled the area on foot northbound. The suspects then got into a 4D Nissan Maxima unknown color.  Taken was personal property. The suspects were described as #1: male Black 18, 5'10", thin build, wearing a dark hat and dark clothing, armed with a gun; #2: male Black 19, 6'0", 150 lbs, thin, wearing dark clothing.

December 17 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 16):
11-355460, Suspicious Subjects, 3200 block of Miramonte Dr, 8:51 a.m.,
Police observed four subjects emerging from a backyard.  None of the subjects were associated with the house.  There were no signs of forced entry.  Two of the subjects were truant and returned to school.

11-355571, Suspicious Subjects, Duckhorn Dr / Saintsbury Dr, 11:06 a.m.,
Police stopped several subjects who were ringing doorbells in the neighborhood.  The subjects had socks on their hands and screwdrivers in their pockets.  Both were arrested for prowling and burglary tools.  One subject was a juvenile.

December 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 15):
11-355020, Fight, W El Camino Ave / I 5 Nb, 6:40 p.m.,
Officers responded to a call of a fight over the bridge. Upon arrival, they located the subjects and determined that it was a verbal altercation only. A female was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

11-355159, Robbery, 3700 block of Truxel Rd, 9:28 p.m.,
A 50-year-old female reported that she was robbed and physically assaulted by 4 male Black subjects. They stole her purse and fled south on Truxel in a maroon van.

11-355152, Suspicious Vehicle, Shrike Cir / Sora Way, 9:21 p.m.,
Officers located a vehicle with a subject illegally possessing marijuana. He was cited.

December 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 14):
11-353582, Accident, Garden Hwy/Northgate Blvd, 11:45 a.m.,
A seventy one year old female was driving east on Garden Hwy. For unknown reasons, she crossed over the center divider and struck a vehicle traveling west on Garden Hwy. The elderly female was declared deceased at the scene. Three occupants of the west bound vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

11-353953, Suspicious Subject, 3600 block of Truxel Rd, 5:43 p.m.,
Officers detained four adults pointed out by security as involved in an altercation. One subject was arrested on a felony warrant. The other three were identified and an incident report was taken.

11-353959, Missing Person, 2900 block of Chateau Montelena Way, 5:46 p.m.,
Officers spent the majority of the shift looking for an 11-year-old who ran away after a family argument. He returned home at 2300 hours.

December 14 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 13):
11-353331, Dead Body, 2300 block of American Ave, 3:12 a.m.,
A 45-year-old female was found deceased.  Fire personnel believed the female died of natural causes so the coroner's office was called. Officers did not observe anything suspicious about her death.

11-350859, Attempt Pick Up, 3200 block of Truxel Rd, 8:59 a.m., Police conducted a search for a subject wanted in a prior burglary.  He was located inside a home and taken into custody.

11-350977, Suspicious Circumstance, 5300 block of Hartona Way, 12:19 p.m.,
A neighbor advised they located clothing and paperwork in their backyard.  It possibly belonged to a subject who was seen hiding in their yard early Saturday night.

11-351172, Probation Search, 2500 block of Millcreek Dr, 4:43 p.m.,
Police conducted a probation search locating Donald Davis, 65.  He was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

11-351230, Suspicious Circumstance, 3100 block of Northview Dr, 5:50 p.m.,
Police received a call that her dog was found deceased in her backyard after she returned home from work.  The owner felt this may have been retaliation.

11-350489, Burglary, 3600 Northgate Blvd, 9:09 p.m.,
Police responded to a burglary where the suspects smashed the front widow.  The suspects took items and fled prior to police arrival.

11-350754, Burglary, 3600 N Freeway Blvd, 2:01 a.m., Police responded to a burglary report.  The witness observed a pickup truck backed up to a business.  The suspect stole several items.  He was described as a male White in his 30's.

December 10 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 9):
11-349521, Robbery, 2600 block of Stonecreek Dr, 7:48 p.m.,
Female resident was exiting her vehicle in the parking lot and was confronted by a male Black adult, 18-21 years old, 165, 5'8".  The suspect made threats of a gun, taking her purse, phone, and keys.

11-349803, Traffic Collision, Arden Garden Connector / Northgate Blvd, 1:28 a.m.,
Police responded to a injury collision with one person trapped in a vehicle.  No serious injuries were reported.  One party was DUI and taken into custody.

11-349852, Burglary, 4700 block of Natomas Blvd, 2:52 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm were the suspect entered and took cash from the register.  The owner was on scene and a good suspect description was provided to police.

11-349872, Cat Burglary, 5300 block of Hartona Way, 3:43 a.m.,
Resident called police advising that an unknown male broke into their residence and was attempt to take clothing and steal their vehicle from their garage.  Officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody.  This suspect appeared to be the same suspect from the business burglary down the street, (11-349852). Arrested was Brian Frazier, 27 years old.

December 9 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 8):
11-348718, Missing Person, 1100 block of Fairweather Dr, 12:09 a.m.,
Two female juveniles ran away from a group home together.  Police were called and searched the area with negative results. They were entered into the missing person's data base.

December 7 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 6):
11-346008, Suspicious Subject, 2700 block of Del Paso Rd, 9:19 a.m.,
The bank had electronic locks installed on their door and wisely chose not to allow entry to a suspicious subject wearing a blue bandana over his face. The subject approached the door but fled on foot when employees refused to let him in. He was described as a male Black E 20's, approx 5'8", 160 lbs. wearing a wig, a baseball cap, a green corduroy jacket, sunglasses and a blue bandana over his face.

December 6 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 5):
11-345846, Theft, W El Camino Ave / Orchard Ln, 0228,
Officers responded to a call where the witness advised that two subjects on bicycles were stealing street light copper wiring. Officers got into the area and noticed street lights were out in the neighborhood south west of W. El Camino/ Orchard. Officers located two subjects on bicycles at W. El Camino at Sea Mist. The subjects each had evidence on them and were subsequently arrested. Arrested were Ron Schmidt, 39, and Dustin Eckman, 27.

December 5 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 4):
11-344353, Sexual Assault, 3200 block of Truxel Rd, 10:19 a.m.,
The victim reported through family a sexual assault by a relative that occurred on 12/3/11.

11-344673, Suspicious Circumstances, 2700 block of Nordlund Way, 6:12 p.m.
A pit bull had previously broken a fence between neighbors and the fence had not yet been repaired. The pit bull attacked a 4-year-old through the broken fence, causing non-life threatening injuries to the child. The child was transported to the hospital and the dog was taken by animal control. All parties involved were cooperative.

11-344724, Outside Agency Assist, I 5 Nb / Arena Blvd, 7:09 p.m.
An intoxicated passenger, Thomas Willis, 53, created a disturbance on a bus traveling north on I 5, causing the driver to pull off to the side of the freeway for safety reasons. SPD responded to assist. Willis exited the bus and walked away before officers arrived. Officers checked the area but did not locate. Sometime later another call was received at Arena/Duckhorn of an intoxicated subject causing a problem. Officers responded and arrested Willis.

11-344943, Burglary, 2900 block of Advantage Way, 1:10 a.m.,
Officers responded to a tip that the business had been broken into. Upon arrival, they discovered entry had been made but nothing appeared to have been taken. No suspect information.

December 3 (incidents are from shifts starting Dec. 2):
11-342518, Assault, 2400 block of Del Paso Rd, 3:16 p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of two juveniles fighting with a large crowd of on lookers gathering around.  Prior to police arrival, everyone left.


11-343216, Sexual Assault, 2800 block of Gateway Oaks Dr, 3:31 a.m., Victim advised that she was sexually assaulted in her hotel room by an unknown male.  Investigation on-going.


December 2 (incidents are  from shifts starting Dec.1):11-341165, Theft, 300 block of Cleveland Ave, 9:08 a.m.,
Neighbors called police advising that someone had stolen the wiring from several street lights in front of their house sometime during the night.


11-341345, Burglary, 1800 block of Cagney Way, 12:37 p.m.,
Victim was home when two subjects broke into the home.  The suspects ran when they realized victim was inside.  Security followed but lost sight of them.  A perimeter was established and a K9 was utilized.  Officers were unable to locate the suspects at this time.


December 1 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 30):
11-340467, Suspicious Circumstances, 1000 block of Hawk Ave, 3:06 p.m.,
Officers and the fire department responded to a report of an explosion in the area. They located the house where it occurred and found that the occupants had created a make shift water heater in the backyard that had caused the explosion. The investigation was turned over to the fire department and code enforcement.


November 29 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 28):
11-338146, Found Property, Gateway Park Blvd / Goldenland Ct, 8:27 a.m.,
Officers responded to a call where a gun was found. The gun was booked into evidence.


11-338160, Attempted Suicide, I 5 Nb / I 80 Eb, 8:41 a.m.,
It appears that a 51-year-old male attempted suicide on the freeway. He was struck by a passing motorist. The male was transported to the hospital with very serious injuries and is not expected to survive.


11-338732, Suspicious Vehicle, W El Camino Ave / Stonecreek Dr, 7:20 p.m.,
Officers investigated a suspicious occupied vehicle. They contacted James Daniels who was ultimately arrested for illegal possession of a knife.


11-338777, Warrant Arrest, 3300 block of Duckhorn Dr, 8:29 p.m.,
Officers were looking to arrest Leticia Wilson, 35, for an outstanding warrant. Officers responded to the residence and received no response at the front door.  However, the investigation led officers to believe that the apartment was occupied. Officers gained entry to the apartment and found Wilson hiding in the bedroom. She was taken into custody.


November 28 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 27):
11-337764, Robbery, 3600 block of N Freeway Blvd, 7:01 p.m.,
The two victims were approached by two suspects who came out of the bushes and ordered them to the ground at gunpoint.  One of the suspects grabbed one victim's purse and both suspects fled toward a dark blue SUV.  The suspect vehicle drove by the victim who was able to get most of the license plate. A few minutes later, responding officers locate the suspect vehicle going the opposite direction. By the time officers get turned around the suspects jumped from the vehicle and ran southbound. One of the responding officers was a K9 unit, who deployed the dog, who caught one suspect. An officer caught another suspect. The third suspect eluded officers but was inside the perimeter. During a K9 search of the area, K9 located the 3rd suspect inside a dumpster. The victim's purse was located inside the vehicle. The only property that belonged to the victim that was not in the purse was her cell phone, which was later located in one of the suspect's pants pockets.  The investigation revealed a loaded firearm and other property, possibly stolen.  Two of the three suspects were apprehended by K9 and thus treated for their injuries prior to being booked. The third suspect was a juvenile and was booked into juvenile hall.


November 27 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 26):
11-336748, Stolen Vehicle, 1900 block of Danbrook Dr, 3:55 p.m.,
The victim was inside his residence when he heard his Lexus SUV start up inside the garage. The victim contacted the suspect who was wearing a ski mask inside the victim's vehicle. A struggle over the control of the vehicle ensued but suspect was able to back the vehicle out and drive off. The suspect also took the keys to the vehicle and the victim's wallet from inside the home. A short time later, an officer located the vehicle unoccupied in the 5400 block of Dunlay Dr. Witnesses advised officers where the driver ran off to. A perimeter was set and the suspect was eventually taken into custody. Officers found the victim's keys and wallet in the suspect's possession. The suspect was a 15-year-old male.


11-336942, Burglary, 3800 block of Duckhorn Dr, 7:57 p.m.,
The victim was inside his apartment sleeping when he was awoken by the hallway lights being turned on. The victim confronted the suspect inside the hallway and chased him to the front door where the victim fought with the suspect. The suspect was able to unlock the front door and get away but not before the victim stripped the suspect's backpack and hoodie off. Officers located information in the backpack about the suspect. Officers contacted the suspect and the investigation led to the suspect's arrest. Arrested was a 16-year-old male.


11-337077, Subject Stop, 3800 block of Duckhorn Dr, 8:50 p.m.,
While officers were investigating the above burglary they contacted a group of three individuals near the suspect's residence. One of the subjects matched the description of the burglary suspect. During the course of the investigation, one subject pulled away from officers and resisted officers attempt to detain him. The 15-year-old suspect was arrested for resisting arrest.

11-335121, Suspicious Circumstances, 1500 block of W El Camino Ave, 4:22 p.m.,
Police observed a vehicle that was possibly wanted in connection with a recent robbery.  The subjects were contacted and information was forwarded to detectives for follow up.


November 24 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 23):
11-334412, Traffic Stop, Northgate Blvd / Haggin Ave, 4:53 p.m.,
Officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Zachary Kurtz, 20. The investigation led to the location of a substantial quantity of Vicodan pills. He was arrested.


November 22 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 21):
11-332450, Welfare Check , 2400 block of Northglen St, 2:41 p.m.,
Officers responded to check the welfare of an elderly male who was calling 911. Upon arrival, they found him to be ok, but would need additional care. Adult Protective Services was contacted who indicated they will be looking into his case.


11-332535, Domestic Violence, 800 block of San Juan Rd, 4:11 p.m.,
A 17-year-old female victim called stating that her boyfriend and child's father had assaulted her. The suspect was gone upon officer's arrival.  The suspect is a 19-year-old male.


November 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 20):
11-331811, Subject Stop, 1100 block of Hawk Ave, 8:23 p.m.,
An officer contacted 3 suspicious subjects loitering in the parking lot.  All three subjects were identified and checked for warrants. They were cleared and sent on their way.


11-331960, Shooting , 100 block of River Run Cir, 12:16 a.m.,
The house was shot at and a car heard speeding away. No suspect information.


11-331902, Accident, 4400 block of Duckhorn Dr, 10:41 p.m.,
An officer's vehicle hit a gate causing damage to the vehicle's windshield. No damage to the gate. The officer was driving very slowly and did not get hurt in the accident.


November 20 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 19):
11-331044, Robbery, 3600 block of Northgate Blvd, 8:29 p.m.,
The suspect stole liquor from the store and attempted to strike an employee as he fled the store. Shortly thereafter, plain clothes detectives locate the suspect and a slow speed pursuit ensues. Marked units take over the pursuit and the suspect ultimately crashed into a fence. The suspect fled on foot, but was taken into custody with the assistance of K9. He was medically treated and booked into jail.




November 17 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 16):
11-328406, Burglary, 2700 block of Northgate Blvd, 2:04 a.m,
Officers responded to an alarm activation. Upon arrival, they discovered that a window had been broken. It doesn't appear as though anything was taken.


November 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 15):
11-327176, Traffic Stop, Del Paso Rd/Blackrock Dr, 6:45 p.m.,
Officers stopped a vehicle for a violation. The driver was found to be wanted and subsequently arrested. Arrested was Jessie Guerra, 28.  


November 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 14):
11-326466, Sexual Assault, 3100 block of Miramonte Dr, 2:13 a.m.,
The victim advised that she was sexually assaulted by a known suspect, who is still outstanding. The suspect was described as a male White 42, driving a tan striped motor home.


November 13 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 12):
11-323946, Vehicle Burglary, 300 block of Tenaya Ave, 8:38 a.m.,
Officers responded to a citizen detaining a female who he caught rummaging through his unlocked vehicle. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. The suspect had numerous items of stolen property taken from multiple vehicles. Several stolen items were returned to the rightful owners. Arrested was Jamie Esparaza, 31.


November 12 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 11):
11-323257, Burglary, 3000 block of Prince Henry Dr, 1:18 p.m.,
Witness called police advising that 4 suspicious subjects walked into her neighbor's backyard.  Officers arrived on scene and detained 4 subjects matching the description.  During the detention, one of the suspects attempted to toss a gun, which later turned out to be a BB gun.  Officers returned to the house and confirmed the neighbor's house had been burglarized.  All 4 subjects were in possession of stolen property.  They were taken into custody.


November 10 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 9):
11-321452, Burglary, 2700 block of Northglen St, 2:40 p.m.,
Officers took a burglary report and learned the suspect was possibly nearby.  After conducting further follow up, officers located two juveniles and the stolen property at a nearby location.  All property was recovered and the two juveniles were arrested.


11-321982, Ringing Alarm, 2400 block of Northgate Blvd, 4:40 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm.  Upon arrival they observed the business had been burglarized.  The suspects smashed the front door and stole items from inside.


November 9 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 8):
11-320174, Domestic Violence, 1600 block of Scarlet Ash Ave, 8:01 a.m.,
Officers responded to a call of domestic violence.  The couple got into an argument and the male grabbed his girlfriend around the neck as the victim struck her boyfriend in the head with a glass object.  Officers arrived on scene and arrested the boyfriend for domestic violence.  Arrested was Vincent Johnson, 27 years old.


11-320462, Traffic Stop, 3200 block of Arena Blvd, 1 p.m.,
A citizen called police advising of a possible DUI driver in the north Natomas area.  Officers contacted the driver, Karen Dossett, 43, and arrested her for driving under the influence.


November 8 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 7):
11-320080, Attempt Burglary, 4000 block of Truxel Rd, 2:38 a.m.,
Officers responded to the business and found an attempt burglary.  Knowing that the suspects would likely try burglarizing other similar businesses, all units in the city were notified of the attempt and a possible suspect vehicle description.   The suspects were seen in the south area near a similar business. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the suspects. Several items of stolen property were located. Also found was a tool to smash the windows. Three suspects were arrested. No names or mug shots released at this point due to the ongoing investigation.


November 7 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 6):
11-318515, Attempt Burglary, 3200 block of Arena Blvd, 6:49 a.m.
A witness observed 2 subjects break the front window of the business and enter. The suspects attempted to take flat screen TV but were not able to. The suspects were described as 2 male Hispanic adults, wearing black hoodies and jeans. They left in possibly a Toyota or Honda with a blanket over the back seat.




11-318520, Attempted Burglary, 3700 block of Truxel Rd, 7:17 a.m.
The suspects broke the front glass and attempted to take a flat screen TV. The suspects were described as 2 males possibly Hispanic, both were skinny, wearing light colored shirts with a design on the front. They left in a small grey sedan, possibly with a heavy set male black driver.




11-318583, Burglary, 2800 block of Del Paso Rd, 9:14 a.m.
A passing citizen called in that the front window was smashed. It appears that the cash register was missing.




11-318670, Burglary, 4700 block of Pell Dr, 11:52 a.m.
A passerby observed the window smashed and contacted police. It appears cash was removed from the register.




11-318986, Subject Stop, 2700 block of Stonecreek Dr, 7:57 p.m.
After officers contacted a subject, the investigation resulted in the arrest of another subject who was in possession of methamphetamine. Arrested was Antwan Baker, 34.




November 6 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 5):
11-317664, Attempt Burglary, 5600 block of Natomas Blvd, 7:47 a.m.,
The suspect broke the side window and opened it. The resident went to see what was happening and scared the intruder off.  The suspect was described as a male Hispanic 20-30's, wearing a dark baseball cap, blue/grey jacket and grey pants.


11-317809, Domestic Violence, 2200 block of Gateway Oaks Dr, 12:01 p.m.,
The suspect assaulted and threatened his girlfriend. The suspect fled before officers arrived.


 11-318481, Burglary, 1800 block of Del Paso Rd, 4:47 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at the above location and found a window smash big enough for entry.  Taken was cash out of the register and product off the store shelves.


11-318487, Burglary, 4200 block of Truxel Rd, 4:57 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at the above location and found a window smash big enough for entry.  Taken were two cash registers containing cash.  No suspect information.


11-318489, Attempt Burglary, 4100 block of Northgate Blvd, 5:10 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at the above location. The business window had been damaged but the suspect was not able to gain entry.


11-318491, Burglary, 2800 block of Del Paso Rd, 5:13 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at the above location and found a window smash. Cash was taken.


11-318495, Burglary, 3500 block of Del Paso Rd, 5:35 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at the above location and found a window smash large enough for entry.  The safe had been removed.


November 5 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 4):
11-316850, Traffic Accident, Truxel Rd / Rockybend Dr, 1:01 p.m.,
Officers responded to a fatal traffic accident.  The 89 year old victim was struck by an oncoming vehicle at the intersection of Truxel Rd and Rocky Bend.  He was transported to an area hospital where he was declared deceased.


11-317411, Subject Stop, Jefferson Ave / Northgate Blvd, 10:48 p.m., Officers attempted to stop a subject riding his bike.  The subject fled and one officer gave chase on foot as the other officer circled back with the patrol car.  The officer in the patrol car was able to get ahead of the suspect and stop his vehicle in front him, ultimately taking him into custody. The suspect was found to be in possession of amphetamine for sales.


11-317582, Traffic Collision, El Centro Rd / Arena Blvd, 2:39 a.m.,
Officers responded to a traffic collision where the vehicle struck a concrete pillar.  When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the driver.  Extensive follow up was conducted but police were still not able to find the driver.


11-315217, Missing Person, 3000 block of Tintorera Way, 7:39 p.m., Officers and detectives are continuing the search for 17 year old missing person Sergio Jimenez.


November 3 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 2):
11-315307, Theft, 2500 block of New Market, 9:15 p.m.,
Officers responded to a theft. The helicopter was overhead because of a large gathering at the nearby high school. They spotted the subject on the stolen bike. He stopped the bike, stomped on the rims and walked away. Ground units were directed to the 16-year-old suspect who was taken into custody.


11-315524, Vandalism, 300 block of Winter Garden Ave, 4:04 a.m.,
We received a call regarding 2 subjects cutting wires on street lights near the above location.  The suspects were described as two male White teenagers on bikes. The suspects were not located.  Officers determined 6 street lights were not working, and the wires in 4 boxes had been cut.


November 2 (incidents are from shifts starting Nov. 1):
11-313486, Disturbance, 1500 block of W. El Camino Ave, 6:10 a.m.,
Officers responded on a man who was yelling inside the business and vandalizing property. Officers located the suspect and detained him without incident.


11-313785, Robbery, Baines Ave/North Bend, 12:28 p.m., Two male Hispanic suspects, one armed with a gun, stole a landscaping truck from two workers. The vehicle was a white 2005 Dodge Ram with 20" Chrome Rims and "Barroso" in large green lettering on the tailgate. The vehicle was later recovered.


11-314192, Suspicious Circumstances, 3500 block of N Freeway Blvd, 6:37 p.m.,
Officers responded to a call of a female trying to pass counterfeit bills. Upon arrival, they contacted the suspect. She was found in possession of more bills and methamphetamine. Arrested was Bernadette Stasek, 47.


11-314252, Disturbance, 1600 block of Scarlet Ash Ave, 7:29 p.m., Officers were handling a disturbance between a mother and daughter. The daughter's 17-year-old boyfriend showed up with an attitude and engaged in the dispute. Officers tried to contact and identify him, but he ran from them. He was caught and arrested.


November 1 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 31):
11-312624, Subject Stop, 3700 block of Northgate Blvd, 0948,
A subject, Emilio Vasquez, ran from officers but was contained within a perimeter. The K9 was deployed. The subject ran inside a residence and the K9 located him in one of the bedrooms. The subject was medically cleared and booked into jail.


11-313463, Burglary, 2100 block of Natomas Crossing Dr, 0424,
Officers discovered the window smashed at the business, which was large enough for entry.


October 30 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 29):
11-311471, Shooting, 100 block of Shrike Cir, 0101,
Officers responded to the above location regarding a shots fired call. The caller reported seeing an injured male possibly limping back inside the residence. Officers had responded earlier to a loud party call at the same location. Officers were unable to locate a victim or any indication a shooting had occurred. A short time later, a local hospital called advising they had a victim in the ER with a gunshot wound. Officers contacted the victim who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the buttock and thigh.  The victim advised he was arriving at the party and walking up the driveway when the suspect was exiting. The suspect asked the victim what he was looking at and an argument ensued.  The suspect produced a gun.  The victim ran and was shot at as he fled. The suspect was described as a male Black 17 to 18, having "chin hair" and wearing tan/gray hoodie which covered his face. The suspect fled in a gray Nissan sedan with 4 or 5 other MB's.


October 29 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 28):
11-310001, Foot Pursuit, 3500 block of Truxel Rd, 5:56 p.m.,
Suspect attempted to present false documents for cash.  Police were hailed and contacted the suspect, who fled on foot.  Police gave chase across a large parking lot.  The suspect ran into another store but was quickly taken into custody.  The suspect was found to be in possession of heroin.  Arrested was Vitaliy Domashuv 27 years old.


October 28 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 27):
11-309053, Weapons Call, Duckhorn Dr / Arena Blvd, 5:28 p.m.,
Witnesses called police reporting a subject shooting a rifle in a nearby field. Air1 located the subject and ordered him to drop the rifle, which he did. Officers contacted the juvenile and discovered the rifle was a bb gun and was shooting at targets.


11-309278, Missing Person, 200 block of River Run Cir, 10:47 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a missing 22 year old male. Officers checked the area the victim was entered into the missing person's system.


October 27 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 26):
11-307685, Burglary, 3400 block of Smilax Way, 10:20 a.m.,
Officers responded to a burglary and caught the suspect fleeing over the back fence with the assistance of K9. The suspect forced entry through the garage side door and into the master bedroom. While doing this, the sleeping daughter in another bedroom fled through a window and called police. The suspect was heard to be in telephone contact with another suspect. Arrested was Stephen Gee, 22.


11-308475, Burglary, 2400 block of Northgate Blvd, 4:38 a.m.,
Officers responded an alarm activation and found the business burglarized. No further information.


October 26 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 25):
11-307420, Burglary, 3800 block of Truxel Rd, 1:20 a.m.,
Officers responded to an alarm call and found the business had been burglarized.  The suspect(s) broke a window on the north side of the business, entered and removed several property.


October 24 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 23):
11-304893, Assault, 700 block of Norland Dr, 12:05 p.m.,
The suspect argued with his mother and he threatened to drive his vehicle into her home. The victim hung up the phone and heard a loud crash. The suspect had driven his vehicle into the residence and drove off. Officers responded and were able to identify suspect location. They responded, located the suspect and arrested him without incident.


October 23 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 22):
11-304107, Shooting, 1200 block of South Ave, 2:21 p.m.,
Officers responded to the report of a Twin Rivers PD officer shot.  The officer was located and transported to UCD with multiple gunshot wounds. The officer is in critical but stable condition. The suspect was located and arrested. He died a short time later, while in custody. The cause of death is unknown.


October 22 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 21):
11-302937, Burglary, 4800 block of Natomas Blvd, 11:29 a.m.,
Officers were called to a burglary in progress.  Maintenance workers at an apartment complex saw 3 suspects breaking into an apartment.  After seeing the workers, the suspects fled on foot.  Officers saturated the area and were able to detain 2 suspects.  Arrested for attempted burglary were Alexander McIntyre 18 and Karvel Phipps 18.


October 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 20):
11-301924, Burglary, 4700 block of Natomas Blvd, 9:31 a.m.,
Officers responded to a report of a burglary.  Suspect(s) broke the front window of the business, taking a safe.


11-302071, Traffic Stop, 3400 block of Northgate Blvd, 12:48 p.m.,
Police conducted a vehicle stop and contacted the occupants.  Located inside the vehicle was a handgun.  Arrested was Maurice Milton, 23 years old.


October 20 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 19):
11-301467, Shooting, San Juan Rd / Northgate Blvd, 7:46 p.m.,
The victim called in advising that his estranged wife had followed him in a white Expedition and fired a round at him. A caller advised of a woman hiding in bushes on Leitch Ave. Officers responded and located her vehicle. A check of the area was negative and the suspect was never located.


11-301535, Suspicious Subject, 2300 block of Northgate Blvd, 8:10 p.m.,
A suspicious male appeared at the back dock area of the store and was approached by security.  The suspect, exhibited a gun and threatened the security guard before running off on foot. The male was described as male Black adult, wearing a ski mask, black t shirt and black pants.


11-301570, Found Property, 4900 block of Duckhorn Dr, 8:55 p.m.,
A citizen found a purse with a gun inside it, inside his rental vehicle. The gun was reported as LOST from an outside agency. The owner was an elderly woman who carried a gun in her purse and unintentionally left it in her rental car.


11-301741, Burglary, 2000 block of Club Center Dr, 1:31 p.m.,
The suspect (s) broke the front glass window to a nail business and attempted to steal some flat screen TV's but were unsuccessful


October 18 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 17):
11-299853, Burglary, 3600 block of N Freeway Blvd, 10:38,
The victims were inside a restaurant eating. The suspect (s) forced entry to their truck and stole several items of personal property.


October 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 15):
11-297562, Accident, Wyndview Dr / Del Paso Rd, 2:37 p.m.,
Officers responded to a single vehicle accident. The driver left the road at high speed and struck a large cement sign. The driver, and sole occupant, was transported with life threatening injuries.  Traffic investigators responded to the scene.


11-297963, Robbery, 1500 block of W El Camino, 10:09 p.m.,
The adult male victim was using the ATM at the above location when two suspects approached him.  Both were male Hispanics in their 20's, one armed with a gun.  The suspects stole the victim's wallet and cash then fled on foot behind the bank.  No vehicle observed.


October 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 14):
11-296982, Shooting, W Silver Eagle Rd / Northgate Blvd, 9:54 p.m.,
Officers responded to the area for reports of shots fired, but were unable to locate anything and cleared the call.  The investigation later revealed that a security guard, who was authorized to carry a firearm, had fired his weapon at an assault suspect. No one was hit.


October 14 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 13):
11-295711, Assault, 400 block of W El Camino Ave, 5:02 p.m.,
Officers responded to a call of subjects fighting. Before they arrived an additional call came in about subjects having facial injuries. Upon arrival, officers found 3 transient victims, 2 males and 1 female with facial injuries. All were transported to the hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was located a short time later and arrest. Arrested was Charles Ortberg, 43. 


11-295977, Robbery, 2700 block of Stonecreek Dr, 10:52 p.m.,
The victims were inside the residence when two male subjects forced their way inside and assaulted one of the victims. The suspects stole the other victim's purse and fled. No further information.


October 12 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 11):
11-293441, Robbery, 1500 block of W El Camino Ave, 12:29 p.m.,
Officers responded to a call of a robbery.  It was reported that two masked suspects entered the business, one armed with a hand gun.  Suspects jumped behind the counter, removed money from the register and fled the area in a blue, 4 door sedan.  A witness provided a vehicle license plate which was reported stolen.  Later in the shift, police located the unoccupied vehicle.


October 9 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 8):
11-290798, Threat, 4600 block of Via Ingoglia St, 12:51 p.m.,
Employees received a call from a female who stated there was an explosive device in the bathroom. The building was evacuated by employees. Officers checked the bathrooms and checked the building with an employee and nothing suspicious was found.


11-290900, Domestic Dispute, 2900 block of Quinter Way, 3:11 p.m.,
The caller advised that she was having an issue with her ex-husband's girlfriend. Units arrived and determined that a misdemeanor battery had occurred with the caller as the aggressor.  A private person's arrest was signed by the victim and caller was cited and released from the scene.


October 8 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 7):
11-289944, Burglary, Kelso Cir, 2:28 p.m.,
Witness saw his neighbor's house being burglarized and called police.  Officers arrived in the area and spotted the two suspects.  They were detained without incident and arrested for burglary. Arrested was Rodney Frazier, 18 years old.  The other suspect was a juvenile.


October 5 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 4):
11-287484, Driving Reckless, Haggin Ave / Northgate Blvd, 7:56 p.m.,
An officer on routine patrol observed a reckless driver approaching him on Northgate. The driver was swerving and driving erratically.  Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the occupants were in a previous dating relationship. An argument inside the vehicle upset the driver to the point that he was driving erratically. The front passenger was holding an infant in her lap and there was a young child in the backseat.  The driving behavior placed both children in extreme risk prompting the arrest of the driver, Bill Stevens, 51, for child endangerment.


October 4 (incidents are from shifts starting Oct. 3):
11-286479, Assault, 2000 block of Club Center Dr, 7:33 p.m.,
The victim was approached by a male Black adult.  The suspect recognized the victim from a previous contact and assaulted him with cutting object, causing superficial scratches to his forearm.  The suspect was described as a male Black adult, 6', with long dreads and a goatee, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. He took off running south Danbrook Drive.


11-286522, Suspicious Subject, 2900 block of Frigatebird Dr, 8:30 p.m.,
Officers responded to a possible altercation with the caller's friend's mother-in-law. Upon arrival, they found that the woman had left the scene and that no crime had occurred. They had argued over children visiting their father in jail.

11-284276, Found Property, Club Center Dr / Calabria Way, 4:44 p.m.,
An officer located an illegal gun in a field. The gun was booked into property for safekeeping. This incident occurred on Saturday, Oct 1, 2011.


11-284417, Stolen Vehicle, Northgate Blvd/San Juan Rd, 7:19 p.m.,
The victim had taken her friend, also the suspect, to the gas station to get gas. While the victim was inside the store of the gas station, the suspect took the victim's vehicle without permission. The vehicle taken was a white 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant 4D sedan. This incident occurred on Sat. Oct 1, 2011.


11-285218, Suspicious Vehicle, 3600 block of North Freeway Blvd, 4:17 p.m.,
Officers responded to several calls of a suspicious vehicle that was in the parking lot, possibly casing to break into other vehicles. The helicopter arrived quickly and directed ground units to the vehicle, as it was trying to leave the area. Officers detained the 2 occupants. The investigation led to the location of stolen property and the arrests of both occupants, two 17 year olds.


11-285699, Stolen Vehicle, Broadgate Dr / Westlake Pkwy, 12:17 a.m.,
Officers responded to the area regarding a report of a stolen rental car. Security was behind a stolen rental vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle on Garden Hwy west of I-5 and detained the two occupants.  Both occupants were booked on a variety of charges related to the theft of the automobile and illegal substance.   The driver was Anthony Cunha, 29, and the passenger was Jessica Reinaldo, 30.




September 30 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 29):
11-282014, Burglary, 2800 block of Northgate Blvd, 2:32 p.m.,
Officers responded to a burglary in progress where the homeowners were chasing the suspects.  Officers were able to locate and apprehend the two juvenile suspects and take them into custody.


11-282674, Vandalism, I 5 / Garden Hwy, 2:44 a.m.,
Officers responded to a report of traffic lights not functioning, almost causing an accident.  When members of the city crew arrived, they advised that someone had cut the underground power lines.  Nothing had been stolen.




September 28 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 27):
11-280114, Robbery, Chuckwagon/Bridgeford, 4:50 p.m.,
The victim was approached by two male Black juveniles, one tall and one short, requesting to use his cell phone. The victim was then beaten and robbed.


11-280129, Outside Agency Assist, Del Paso Blvd / Northgate Blvd, 5:05 p.m.,
County Parks Rangers requested assistance while they contacted campers under the bridge at 160/Northgate. The subjects were cooperative and went on their way.


11-280130, Robbery, 3100 block of Northstead Dr, 5:03 p.m.,
The suspect asked to use the victim's phone. When the victim gave him the phone, the suspect ran off with it. The victim chased after him and when he caught up to him, the suspect hit the victim several times in the face. The suspect was described as a male Black 16-18 years old, short, dark complexion, with short hair.


11-280513, Burglary, 4100 block of Truxel Rd, 1:39 a.m., Officers responded to an alarm call and found the front window had been smashed.  It was obvious a large flat screen had been removed from the wall of the business lobby.




September 27 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 26):
11-278660, Subject Stop, Duckhorn Dr / Arena Blvd, 8:46 a.m.,
An officer located a 290 registrant out of Oklahoma. Oklahoma authorities said he should not have left Oklahoma but they would not extradite the subject. The subject was taken to the local registration site, where he was registered for California.


11-278949, Burglary, 3100 block of Osuna Way, 2:52 p.m.,
Several officers quickly responded to a neighbor's report of a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers located forced entry and property in the backyard. Two subjects were seen exiting the residence and taken into custody.


11-279247, Domesitic Dispute, 4800 block of Kokomo Dr, 8:32 p.m.,
The caller and his wife were involved in an argument when the wife threw a wine glass at the caller. She had been drinking and threatened suicide as she was leaving in the car with the caller trying to stop her. Officers arrived and checked the area for her. The air unit also checked other places she may have gone too but she was not located. The caller did not want to list her as a missing person at this point.




September 26 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 25):
11-278077, Stolen Vehicle, Northgate Blvd / W El Camino Ave, 3:59 p.m.,
An officer observed a suspicious occupied vehicle. He ran the license plate and found that the vehicle was stolen. All four occupants were detained and the driver, Jeffrey Chocalas, 21, was arrested.


11-278190, Suicidal Subject, I 5 Sb / W El Camino Ave, 6:24 p.m.,
Several calls received of a subject on the overpass who appeared to be trying to jump onto the freeway.  When officers arrived they observed 3 citizens holding down another individual. The investigation revealed that the citizens were preventing the subject from climbing onto the railing which would certainly have led to his death, if he had jumped or fallen. The subject was taken for treatment.


11-278481, Wanted Subject, Stampede Ct/Pony Express Dr, 12:16 a.m.,
An outside agency contacted SPD requesting assistance with the service of a search warrant and attempt pick up on an armed robbery suspect. The robbery had occurred in their jurisdiction earlier in the day. SPD units assited which resulted in the suspect being arrested.


11-278515, Theft, W El Camino Ave / Northgate Blvd, 2:03 a.m.,
Officers observed subjects yelling in front of a business.  A citizen and clerk from the store pointed toward a subject, later identified as Raymond Gomez, 24, riding away on a bicycle.  The citizen yelled that the suspect had just stolen the bike. The officer detained the suspect who was ultimately arrested for the theft.




September 25 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 24):
11-276982, Welfare, 2400 block of Northglen St, 1243 p.m.,
Officers responded to check the welfare of a male, who sounded confused. Upon arrival, they discovered the elderly man had not bathed nor eaten for a few days. Officers took him to the hospital.




September 23 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 22):
11-275457, Suicidal Subject, 2200 block of Del Paso Rd, 11:23 p.m.,
A subject called police and reported that he was going to commit suicide.  Officers contacted him outside of a local business where he began to stab himself.  He was eventually detained and transported to an area hospital for his self inflected wounds.  His injuries were not life threatening.


11-275565, Stolen Vehicle, 3800 block of Duckhorn Dr, 2:10 a.m.,
Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle occupied by a subject who was possibly casing the neighborhood.  Officers located the subject and arrested him for possession of a stolen vehicle.  Arrested was Donald Woodyard 18 years old.




September 22 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 21):
11-274570, Robbery, 2000 block of W El Camino Ave, 5:11 a.m.,
Two suspects entered an apartment through the sliding glass door. The resident walked into her living room from her bedroom and one suspect pushed her against the wall and covered her mouth. Both suspects ransacked the apartment, but nothing was taken. The suspects had their faces covered so no suspect description other than male.




September 21 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 20):
11-273103, Suspicious Subject, 2700 block of Del Paso Rd, 4:10 p.m.,
The subject enters the business and requests to speak with a manager. The front desk can see that he is concealing a gun in his pocket. He was told that the manager was not in and he turned and left. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic adult, unshaven, wearing sweat pants.




September 20 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 19):
11-271689, Theft, Regency Park Cir/Club Center Dr, 8:58 a.m.,
The suspect stole a bike and rode it to his home. Officers responded and found the bike, but the suspect was not there, initially. He, suspect Freddie Murillo, 36, came home and was arrested.


11-272086, Wanted Subject, 2600 block of W El Camino Ave, 4:16 p.m.,
Officers were looking for a wanted suspect. They found him at his residence and arrested him.


11-272099, Indecent Exposure, 2700 block of Millcreek Dr, 4:30 p.m.,
The caller had been approached by a father of a child saying that a male White adult had exposed himself to his son.  The victim and father left the area and no contact information was available. The caller gave a description and officers responded. They contacted a possible suspect and identified him. However, the original victim could not be located. The suspect was described as a male White 30's, slick backed blond hair, wearing no shirt and black shorts.


11-272226, Subject Stop, 4800 block of Kokomo Dr, 6:45 p.m.,
Officers contacted a subject and found him in violation of his probation. He was arrested.




September 19 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 18):
11-271576, Burglary, 2000 block of Arena Blvd, 4:17 a.m.,
Officers responded to a ringing alarm and found windows broken at three businesses in a strip mall. The suspects tried to take flat screen TV's from multiple places.




September 18 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 17):
11-269760, Shooting, Northgate Blvd / Hwy 160 Eb, 6:05 a.m.,
Officers responded to a call where a male appeared to need medical attention.  Both police and medical personal arrived and found that the victim had been shot.  Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.




September 16 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 15):
11-268406, Burglary, 5100 block of Nantucket Way, 8:34 p.m.
A residential burglary occurred in the 1800 block of Club Center. Witnesses provided police with both a vehicle and suspect description. Later that evening officers located a similar occupied vehicle in the 1800 block of Club Center. The driver was in possession of property linking him to the earlier burglary. Arrested for burglary was Aaron Henderson, 19 years old.
 
September 15 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 14):
11-267204, Traffic Stop , River City Way / Bannon Creek Dr, 6:21 p.m.,
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with two occupants. The passenger, Eric Martinez 43, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. The driver, Reynaldo Barraza, 35, was arrested for possession of an illegal weapon.




September 14 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 13):
11-265532, Robbery, Truxel Rd / Waterwheel Dr, 7 a.m.,
The victim was sleeping in his car when he was contacted and assaulted. The suspect(s) took his car. The victim had minor injuries to his head. No suspect description.on.


11-266418, Robbery, 2400 block of Del Paso Blvd, 11:52 p.m.,
The victim was behind the store when he was approached by two male blacks.  The victim was struck on the head with an unknown object and robbed of his cash. The only description was that the suspects were 2 male Blacks in their 30's.




September 13 (incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 12):
11-264899, Warrant Arrest, 600 block of Los Lunas Way, 2:09 p.m.,
Officers located a subject with an outstanding warrant. Arrested was Gayle Mustafa, 25.


11-265233, Burglary, 3600 block of Truxel Rd, 7:56 p.m.,
Officers were on scene on an unrelated shop-lift call when loss prevention officers alerted him to a suspect that had stolen several Ipads from the store in March of this year. At the time of the crime, the suspect got away and the report was filed. Officers detained the suspect as he exited the store. The investigation revealed that the 42-year-old male suspect was responsible for the earlier burglary and was subsequently arrested.




September 9 (incidents are from shifts starting September 8):
11-260843, Burglary, 5600 block of La Casa Way, 2:52 p.m.,
Victim returned home and saw four subjects enter his back yard.  Victim called a family member who arrived and scared off the subjects.  Victim discovered their home had been burglarized.


11-260785, Vandalism, 2000 block of New Market Drive, 1:58 p.m., Sometime during the night last Tuesday someone spray painted racial slurs on one of the structures within the property. It has since been painted over.


September 8 (incidents are from shifts starting September 7):
11-259844, Suspicious Circumstances , Kokomo/North Park Dr, 2:24 p.m.,
A 10-year-old female was walking home, by herself, when the suspect rolled down the window of his vehicle and talked to her about getting in his car. The girl ran back to her school and reported the incident to school staff. The suspect was described as a male Black 30, light skinned with a shaved or bald head. The suspect vehicle was described as a newer white 4dr pickup in clean condition. The vehicle had dark tinted windows and large tires.




11-260411, Burglary, 4100 block of E Commerce Way, 3:48 a.m.,
Officers responded to the above location for a silent burglary alarm. When they arrived, they observed two suspects inside the business. One of the suspects fled on foot and was apprehended in the field south of the location.  The second suspect was located hiding in some bushes and was apprehended by K96. Officers located computer equipment on the exterior of the business. The suspects made entry by smashing an exterior window of the business.  Arrested were a 36 year old male and a 31 year old male.


September 7 (incidents are from shifts starting September 6):
11-259017, Suspicious Subject, 4100 block of Northgate Blvd, 4:46 p.m.,
The suspect was inside of the store and was using a mini camera to peer up the skirt of the unsuspecting victim.  The victim was facing the displays and did not realize this was occurring. The loss-prevention employee noticed the strange activity and contacted the suspect who was turned over to officers on scene on an unrelated call.  The suspect, Eric Anderson, 28, was arrested for Peeping Tom with the use of electronics.


11-259046, Indecent Exposure, 4600 block of Via Ingoglia St, 5:40 p.m., The 6 yr old male victim was at the library with his mother. The victim was approached by the teenage suspect and asked to go to the bathroom with him. The victim did and the suspect exposed his genitals to the victim. The suspect fled the bathroom when someone else entered. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid teens.


11-259295, Robbery, 3600 block of Truxel Rd, 11:03 p.m.,
The male suspect entered the business with two females. The male went to the jewelry section and robbed them at gunpoint for money and jewelry. The suspect ran out an emergency rear door while the two females fled out the front of the business. The suspect was described as a male Black 20's, 5'6", wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants.  The females were described as being female Blacks 20's, heavy set and possibly driving a full size SUV.




September 6 (incidents are from shifts starting September 5):
11-257713, Burglary, 1700 block of Capital Park Dr, 8:54 a.m.,
Officers responded and completed a burglary report. The investigation revealed the identity of a possible suspect. The juvenile suspect was located and ultimately arrested.


11-257796, Vehicle Accident, Club Center Dr / Northborough Dr, 11:20 a.m.,
Officers responded to a single vehicle accident where the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver and sole occupant died at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.




September 4 (incidents are from shifts starting September 3):
11-256332, Assault, 2000 block of W El Camino Ave, 10:02 p.m.,
Victim and suspect are married and got into a physical altercation. The suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.




September 3 (incidents are from shifts starting September 2):
11-254872, Robbery, East Commerce & Greg Thatch Cir, 3:24 p.m.,
The victim was approached by two subjects on bikes.  One suspect assaulted the victim, took his money and fled the area.  Officers were able to identify one of the suspects and later took him into custody for robbery.  Both suspect and victim were juveniles.


11-255136, Warrant Arrest, 400 block of San Juan Rd, 7:31 p.m.,
Police received a call regarding an assault.  The suspect was known to have an outstanding warrant.  Upon officers arrival the suspect fled and hid along the levee.  A K9 officer and his partner were called to assist and took the suspect into custody.  Arrested was Lee Coggins 36 years old.




September 1 (incidents are from shifts starting August 31):
11-252620, Burglary, 2800 block of Chateau Montelena Way, 9:15 a.m.,
Victim arrived at home and was confronted by a burglar inside her home.  The suspect fled the area on a bicycle.  Officers located the suspect in the neighborhood and took the juvenile suspect into custody.


11-252694, Weapons Call, 3000 block of Fong Ranch Rd, 10:52 a.m.,
Two juveniles got into a physical altercation and it was reported that one of them possibly had a gun.    Officers arrived and determined the gun was unfounded.   One juvenile was taken into custody for making threats.
